Who here thinks that Steve Jobs' death was also the death of Apple, and turned it into the money hungry corporation it is today. I know they weren't exactly cheap before, but at least there was a standard of quality, and programming innovation, am I right or am I wrong? and what's your opinion on this?

i'm glad he's dead, and i'm glad he's gone
>>51902961
yep that's what I think too.
>jobs dies
>IPAD PRO PEN ASS MOUSE BATTERY COVER CAMERA BONER
Pretty much. Dude was a fucking prick but he could lead a company to produce overpriced but arguably good products.

so much iNnovation amirite
>>51903337
>overpriced
They're worth exactly as much as people are willing to pay for them and therefore not overpriced.
>>51903478
Compared to android devices, iphones have always been overpriced. They literally did the same thing as android devices but have less features while costing significantly more and are therefore overpriced.

>>51903523
>They literally did the same thing as android devices
Last time I checked Android phones don't run iOS and don't integrate as well with the Apple ecosystem.
Last time I checked Android still lagged with 8 cores and 4 GB RAM while iOS is smooth as butter with 2 cores.
The iPhone is worth exactly as much as it costs or it wouldn't be successful. Supply & demand.
Reminder that people who matter use Apple devices.

I kept telling this before his death but nobody believed me.
Guys
Its not because Jobs died that the company went to shit
Its just because Tim Cook is a faggot
I'm glad he got iCancer and I will piss on his iGrave

I'm glad he killed himself -just like Hitler.
I love you guys, you're so hostile.

>>51903478
he's clearly talking about his own personal conception of value - not mass market economics
step up your empathy game

Adjusted for inflation.
>>51902961
>and turned it into the money hungry corporation it is today.
>implying apple hasn't always been money hungry.

Just recently saw a short documentary that had Wozniak in it. He seemed like a really kind & loyal person. The kind that is easily taken advantage of. Never heard the numbers from the Atari deal though.
I don't know exactly what's different. but I know they're doing things Steve Jobs would have never approved of
Who thinks that Woz was the real genius?
>>51906344
Both were geniuses in very different ways
>>51906344
He's an autist and not the kind steve-o was. Woz is a valuable tool that anyone could use but the genius is in the mastery of it.
>>51902961
It was always a money hungry org, my man.
But I knew the moment he died his guidance would be missed. The iPhone 5s is a gorgeous piece of kit compared to my 6s. I don't think you'll see a prettier, more iconic design than that gen.
Apple was always a money hungry corporation and there was no programming innovation at all.
>>51907584
>there was no programming innovation at all.
They had a UNIX based object oriented operating system with full 32-bit support and a compositing window manager while Microsoft Windows still carried around 16 bit baggage and did not have proper process isolation.
Mac OS X was far ahead of Windows, both internally and externally.
>>51907673
Apple wasn't first to have any of those things. They literally copied the good ideas of other companies and people believe they invented something.
>>51902961
What are you talking about, Apple was still stealing ideas and branding them as their own while Jobs was alive just like they do now
>>51907835
Most people haven't heard of the things they copied in the first place, which is why apple was so "innovative" for tech plebs.
>>51907835
Name a 32 bit desktop operating system with a preemptive multithreading kernel, proces isolation and a compositing window manager before OS X.
>>51902961
All jobs did was steal woz's ideas and market them to goyim
>>51908018
>I could easily do the same if I wanted
>It's not an accomplishment
>>51905321
It was in JOBS. Thought it was kinda sad.
