before they took out the anti-Net Neutrality rider from the omnibus bill due to worrying phone calls, they literally slipped in CISA, along with other two non-gov't abusive cybersecurity bills, in the government spending bill.

yes, this is the same fucking bill we took down few years ago (CISPA, but frankensteined, now completely anti-4th amendment)

we got under a day until CISA gets voted again and until Obama signs the fucking bill into law.

please inform everyone here

call White House:

Just vote Trump and complete the new old cycle of going from bad to worse.
>>
It's over. They've won already.

We've lost and we must come to terms with that so we can accept our situation then begin adapting to it and how best we can work around it.

Fuck off so after one hipster fag from the pirate bay comes out and says its all over your going to adopt his cuck defeated attitude. I remember when 4chan was cool fuck all of you fagots I'm off to Reddit where I can get some real shit done.
>>
>>51902010

And nothing of value was lost.
>>
>>51902010
You waited a little too late anon. No offense.
>>
>>51902059
>>51902081
Do you really think that it's to late. Do you really think that if we let things get worse that they will be easier to fix. My old school pastor told me one thing that I took too heart and it was we don't let problems pile up untill they are unmanageable we try and fix them as soon as possible to stop things from pileing up.
>>
>>51902172
>Do you really think that it's to late.
For this fight, yes. Maybe revisit it later, though I don't have much hope prsnly.

>Do you really think that if we let things get worse that they will be easier to fix.
Ofc not. I've fought many losing battles before. Even seen us win the occasional one too.

I like you're old school pastor's attitude. I'd go with that if I were you anon.
>>
>>51902224
I think we still have time. I mean we just pushed back on spying when the parrot act ran out and now more than ever is the time to keep pushing till we can get a free Internet. sure we might not be able to stop Google and Facebook but as long as there are free alternatives and tools like no script we should be able to work to less intrusion.

not wanting freedom what are you a fascist gaylord? >>51902224
>>
Just as we predicted, they're going to try to pass this shit every year until everyone stops caring. CISPA yesterday, CISA today, another one tomorrow and every day until it gets done. Welcome to America.
>>
>>51901244
What's the TL;DR version? I'm at work, what's this mean specifically for us?
>>
>>51902431
If only we cold pass a Internet bill of rights some guidelines and rules for how the Internet should work. put that into law and then cispa would be a lot harder to pass
>>
>>51902477
tl;dr government is attempting to spy on you again for profit
>>
>>51902477
and the only way this will be stopped is if Obama vetos it. you should call the white house or send an email and air your grievances

>World Wide Web
>Wide Web
>Web

What else makes a web? A spider... and what does it do? Snatches their prey to where they can longer move, and then slowly begin the process of wrapping them up tightly to suck the life out of them. It's like the internet is the biggest web of them all for an entire species.

no one cares about the spokesman of the pirate bay he gave up a long as time ago and is a traitor

The truth, anon, is that this won't affect me. I have the technical ability to cover my ass and do pretty much whatever I want anonymously.

This will affect normies. The normies barely smart enough to torrent off KAT, but not really smart enough for anything else. And I'm okay with this, because this entire situation is the normies fault. For not caring, for being dumb, for voting for retarded candidates.

This bill is good. This bill will split the internet into the normie internet, a censored and regulated US-only encryption-forbidden containment area, and the real internet, that the rest of the world uses and requires actual technical ability to get to.

It'll be like before the normies took over our internet, anon. And I'm excited.

We're being slowly pushed out of this reality for the coming virtual reality. I mean just think about it man what's happening, the prices of everything is going up which makes having families that much more difficult (population control) and robotic automation to soon replace most of our jobs leaving us no choice but to accept a basic universal income. With all that time on our hands we'll have no choice but to insert ourselves into a virtual reality.

The Matrix is inevitable.

it's now the place normies go to make epic "politically incorrect" jokes and parrot the latest neoconservative thinkpiece they read on breitbart

then they cry and scream if anyone disagrees with them, enforcing their own brand of political correctness that supports their myopic worldview

:^)

I kind of have to agree. /pol/'s one of my home boards but it's kind of sad seeing other board cultures get squashed. I like Trump but I don't want to have to sift through hundreds of posts about whether something is degenerate when I'm on /g/

at this point anon, it's absolutely hopeless. There is not a snowball's chance in hell of obama not signing that bill into law. There was a hell of a lot of backdoor dealing that went on to get this passed. The alternative is that the government gets shut down again...

Our only hope is to supreme court this shit.

It's not giving up. It's called coming to terms with the situation then going from there. They have already won. It's inevitable. Companies already monitor things, NSA has already been recording everything.

You will not stop it.
You cannot fight it.

But you can come to terms with it fully and only then you can look at how you can work around it. There is no point wasting resources fighting an uphill battle.

The saddest part is, you have the most heavily armed civilian population on the planet, yet do absolutely nothing about your corrupt government because doing so would be "unnpatriotic", while patriots like McVeigh and Snowden are considered traitors.

It's sad. Compare that to Ireland in the early 20th century. When they planned to pass the Home Rule bill which would give more control to Dublin, the protestants and those loyal to Britain formed the Ulster Volunteers, armed themselves to the teeth with guns from Germany and told the British government if they tried to force through Home Rule, they'd fight them by force. When the army in Ireland believed they were to be sent North to confront the Ulster Volunteers, they mutinied and said they wouldn't turn their guns on fellow Irishmen.

Ironically, all those same peoples ancestors who went to America are the Scots-Irish. And everyone knows that the Mountain men were imperative to turning the tide of the war against the British at King's Mountain which saw America become a free nation.
>>
People will act like they hate this but then will go on to say Trump is an idiot and Hillary should be our next president. Maybe you should look in the mirror some time, democucks.

Absofuckinglutely this.

But since everyone here is now a defeatist faggot I can guarantee that we will never have a workaround.

>There is no point wasting resources fighting an uphill battle.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kings_Mountain

Patriots (Mountain men, hill billies, hicks, rednecks, scots-irish, what most people today would consider dumb, inbred, ignorant ass nothings), outnumbered and outgunned, fought their way uphill and changed the course of the Revolutionary war.

>In The Winning of the West, Theodore Roosevelt wrote of Kings Mountain, "This brilliant victory marked the turning point of the American Revolution." Thomas Jefferson called it, "The turn of the tide of success." President Herbert Hoover at Kings Mountain said,

>"This is a place of inspiring memories. Here less than a thousand men, inspired by the urge of freedom, defeated a superior force intrenched in this strategic position. This small band of Patriots turned back a dangerous invasion well designed to separate and dismember the united Colonies. It was a little army and a little battle, but it was of mighty portent. History has done scant justice to its significance, which rightly should place it beside Lexington, Bunker Hill, Trenton and Yorktown."[50]

really nice that you can just slip naughty notes into the big bill and have them passed. real solid system there buddy.

Considering that this was ass fucked into a spending bill that has to pass in order to prevent a government shutdown, it's inevitable. So yes they've won this round. That's being realist.
