Is this a good deal?

13" MBP Retina early 2014
2.4Ghz Intel Core i5
8GB 1600mhz DDR3 RAM
256GB SSD
Intel Iris 1536MB Graphics Card
>>
Op here, the price is 1050eur

no

Why not?

Depends how much the current equivalent spec would cost, doesn't it.

You could look at buying refurbished, directly from Apple. I got one just a couple months ago, cost me £1,099 for the most recent model, with 16GB RAM. A brand new one would have been about £1,300 I think so it was a good saving.

do it

Thats pretty much what he's selling.
>>
>>51888898

The difference is that if you buy it from Apple, you at least get a year of warranty and the chance to buy and extended one.
>>
for what do you need it? If it's school you might want to get a lenovo or microsoft tablet/laptop for the prize

ignore these people. They are happy with their shitty touchpads and spyware lenovos.

>1050 eur

Literally why?

Get yourself a thinkpad t420 and be happy with a bit heavier and worse screen but perfectly acceptable specs and great build quality for 1/4th of the price.

You shill just as bad as Applefags

Definitely not at that price.

BUY A FUCKING REGULAR LAPTOP YOU PRETENTIOUS FAGGOT

Or waste your money, honestly i dont give a fuck as your stupidity will hit yourself, not me.
>>
If you really want a Macbook, but are only going to use it for regular stuff like Word documents and shitposting, look into an older Macbook, and upgrade it with an SSD and more RAM. I have one of the mid-2009 Core 2 Duo white plastic Macbooks, and it runs OSX El Capitan like a fucking champ once I added a cheap SSD and got it up to 6GB RAM. You can get this result for less than a third of the cost of even a used or refurbished latest-model Macbook.

I use this exact model laptop every day. It is a wonderful machine and I would recommend and purchase it again. I got mine for $1400USD around launch, so 1050EUR seems like too much.

Yeah but Thinkpad is actually good and cost effective.

I know they're a meme on /g/ but they really are great for their cost. Definitely the best in terms of value.

Anything else in that price range is like a 11 inch Chromebook with an intel celeron procesor... Literally nothing matches it when you include the build quality and keyboard, clit mouse etc

My friend has a 2012 Macbook Pro 13" that won't turn on. Plugging in the charger the charger LED doesn't show any lights and no signs of life from the Macbook. He says he'd sell it to me. How much would you pay for it and what can be wrong with it?

This is the best Mac OS X argument I've ever seen.

It's related to your purpose.

If you just want a notebook you may consider buying a MacBook Air for this price.

If you need processing power with a MacBook, with 8GB of RAM and a 256 GiB SSD (assuming you don't need more)

Compare with other prices, see if an i5 processor won't be a problem for you (you don't need an i7 for tasks such as kernel compiling, it will just take time ; but you may pay a higher price if you want to do 3D rendering).

What is your processor specs ? Mine is 4th gen for the record.

See if the graphic card is not a problem for you. If you can ask the retailer to do a screenfetch and post it here.

>pic related is a screenfetch of my 1020$ Clevo computer with IPS screen and 1 TiB HDD storage

Teacher is here so perhaps I won't answer. Good luck !

Check how many cycles the battery has gone through.

>>51888641
Try a Dell xps. (newish one)
>>
>>51889898
what if you hate macs and you are currently using one?
>>
>>51888641
I have a mid 2015 retina MBP with the same specs and I shat almost 1700eur for it (new) so it's not a bad price.
I'd definitely get that instead of a new macbook air, they're shit

>>51888641
yes. you will be very happy with your purchase. don't let these NEETS influence you
>>
>>51888641
I have the same one but 2.6Ghz and use it all the time, pretty good. It's just a question of if you want to spend that much on a laptop.
