I collect old shit and I still see things this way, in 2006-2008 I was stuck on a mobile Pentium 4 and later a low-end Merom Core 2 Duo.
Now if I want to go back to that era I can acquire bleeding-edge high end hardware for next to jack shit and enjoy a nearly unlimited library of games and applications that will all run without a hitch.
