You should only pay for real professional grade software instead of "lemonade stand" projects. Doing what you do only encourages CS grads with an understanding of the market as it was in the 90s to avoid getting real jobs.
On my wangblows setup today. R8 or H8.
>>51828026
I know what you mean but it's only recently that I had the capital to even consider it. I don't think I'll ever shell out for the Creative Suite or anything, but I am interested in paying for a DAW at some point.
My company will pay for any software I need in my professional life but my dev environment is basically all free software.
>>51827993

Copped a new Mackie mixer recently, and now I'm looking for the right deal on an Emax or E6400 Ultra to restart my sampler collection.

Openbox is better for ricing since you have more things to actually rice whereas on i3 you can only change the bar and border colors and that's pretty much it.
I prefer i3 for the multi monitor and tiling support, I installed openbox multihead and even though it allows 2 workspaces when you have 2 monitors it still doesn't take care of the issue with the margins, like if you set a margin on every side and then maximize the window then you won't have a margin on the left side if your second monitor is on the left side. I've heard that you can tile openbox but I'm not really sure how to do that and I assume it's not a part of the default functionality.
I haven't even explored openbox that much to be honest, I just play around with it every now and then.
In general, if I had one monitor I'd probably consider openbox but for now I'll stick with i3 as my default.
