>use Windows
>feel like I have got some malware probably
>obsessively scan the drive once or twice a day with malwarebytes
Does anyone else feel like this? I'm thinking of just going back to Linux for peace of mind.
>autism
>>51800811
I know. Pointless as I may have an undetectable threat. You just can't win.
No. I don't even have an anti-virus. Living on the edge.
>>51800826
this
who cares if my desktop gets infected?
all it's used for is gaymen and animu anyways
>>51800719
>Does anyone else feel like this?
No, because I don't run random EXEs downloaded off blog sites and youtube links.
>dumb frogposter
>>51800856
Me neither but I still feel something is there. I know those hard drive sounds are just indexing and defragmenting in the background right?
>>51800719
No because I only run trusted software. If I ever run some pirate shit I usually format shortly after.
>>51800989
>Windows
>trusted software
:^)
There's nothing to worry about. Windows is secure. Microsoft just closed the last remaining security issues a few days ago. There are no more flaws.
>>51800719
I'm the opposite. I feel confident that I have zero malware and I never scan ever
>>51800719
no i don't even use mse
commonsense is more then enough protection
>>51800832
This is not the correct attitude.
Idiots like you only further malware infection rates
>>51800719
Wrong board, dumb frogposter, this is not /b/, take you meme garbage there.
>>51801004
The ride never ends.
>>51801329
No those were the last flaws. Windows is now secure
I'm a freetard setting up some normie machines for christmas.
Putting windows 7 on them and I probably need some sort of protection beyond Common Sense 2015 because I think they're too stupid to run uMatrix.
What do you use? Preferably something that can run automatically etc and they don't have to launch manually.
>>51801357
AVG
I just installed Windows fresh (manufacturer version) and some malware was attached to svchost process. I don't know how this happened. I only installed a few things like Steam and other safe programs. Fuck Windows.
>>51801619
>steam
>safe
Nobody can reasonably verify that because it's proprietary software.
>be me
>linux cause winblows amirite
>use windows
>omg do i have a virus
>ooowhatsthis free penis 12inch.exe
>omg virusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssdadlkaldjasdhkADhA
>>51800965
I believe you're describing Windows itself.
Reminder to buy Windows, Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs
>>51800719
I have not had an anti virus in 4 years.
>>51800719
i check procexp and autoruns from time to time
>>51802448
>>51800719
you installed malware when you installed your OS
>>51802580
wow so deep,
could be from jaden smith
>>51801651
Define reasonably reasonably
>>51803126
One could theoretically reverse engineer all of Steam but it's extremely labor intensive if not impossible for a single person due to the constant updates. Short, it's unreasonable.
Reading source code is much faster than disassembling and interpretings Assembler
That's part of the ride of using windows
>system is slow
>proceed to defrag and scan for malware but still unsure of what could it be
