I am starting a new job next week and have training on Monday; my supervisor suggested that I bring a laptop.
I don't want to for various reason;most of which I think this board will understand.
Should I just buy a new laptop? Or tell them to fuck off? Is this even allowed?

I am worried about connecting to the network and having people share folders/documents. Also the 100+ torrents that I am seeding.

Just change the file permissions or something. If you're that paranoid though just grab a cheap laptop.
