ASRock these niggas are crazy
What reasoning is behind this board?
Just because?
>$240
just why?
>>51728770
Because X99
>>51728817
exactly
>>51728683
>falling for the ITX meme
>any year
>>51729002
>implying ITX isn't perfect for the vast majority of people
>>51729102
A vast Majority of people would choose and Ipad over a pc. What is you point?
>paying more just because its small
>less ram slots
>less pcie x16 3.0 slots
>less Sata port
>less IO in general
But it costs more so it can be portable. Really the only place that is going to be helpful is if you go to lan parties or are homeless. And then if you go to lan parties its not going to be a big deal if you bring a full - mid sized tower.
>>51729002
ATX with mid-tower is arguably stupider for 99% of people since optical media is all but dead, and mass storage belongs on the network (i.e., NAS) anyway.
That shit aint gonna fit a Hyper 212 Evo
>>51729352
>paying more for less features
>m-itx fags will justify this.
O-onii-chan it's too b-big!
crazy like a Foxconn
>>51729358
Wait yeah it would. It towers over normal ram modules I think
>X99 boards
>GAYMER shit
>no thunderbolt connections on mobos, anywhere except for expansion cards
I have shit to transfer dammit
who mATX in mid tower here? I have to take out the gpu to get to the ram, and the ram to get the cooler off.
>>51729367
being less obtrusive actually is a feature, family.
I don't even own uATX/mITX, but I'm strongly considering one for my next machine.
Literally 3x empty 5.25" bays, all but 2 empty 3.5" bays, and only 1 PCIe slot used in both mini-towers at present.
>>51729318
>less ram slots
You can do 32 and 64 dual channel.
>less pcie x16 3.0 slots
For what? SLI and Crossfire do nothing but cause problems. This is coming from someone running two Nvidia cards.
>less Sata port
Why in the actual fuck do you need like 11 sata ports?
>>51728683
>only one usb 3 header
Trash, would not buy.
>>51729318
2x16GB DDR3/4 plus 1 high-end GPU is enough for the vast majority of users.
Likewise a single 2.5" or m.2 SSD plus maybe a single 3.5" HDD is all each workstation really needs.
The bigger problems are that 10gbe isn't mainstream yet and that Intel are jews who don't support ECC on non-Xeons.
>>51729497
>less options
>more expensive
>justifying this
lmao.
>>51728683
This form factor for X99 is objectively retarded.
>no quad channel
>dual RJ45
>>51728817
and because youre going to have to use 1000000 PCI lanes some how
>>51728683
Would have gotten this but the narrow ILM heatsink mount limits good cooling to very few heatsinks and AIOs.
Most amazing is the ability to use Xeons (even 18 cores) and ECC ram for up to 64GB ram on ITX.
>>51729352
what if you want to burn a cd to listen in the car
>>51732821
Not 1000000 PCI lanes actually, just more than 16.
>>51729352
Optical disc is the second best backup medium (tape is first).
>>51729421
>Thunderbolt
For what purpose when there's USB 3.1 ?
