The co-worker with the curved one plays a lot of elite dangers, he said its awesome and immersive to be able to look to your left and see the cockpit, but for tasks like photoshop / coding where, its nice to have everything on one flat plane

I actually like it quite a bit for general computing. The curve is not very pronounced at all. The only slight annoyance is if you take a paper and you overlay that to the monitor for those off moments when you trace things (I've done that on Onenote and photoshop only a handful of times,) but it's a really minor issue.
I'd still like to have a vertical monitor by the side. I ran out of real estate to put a 24" 16:10 monitor in portrait beside it, but the real estate gain from just having a 2560x1600 is very noticeable. I've easily open up 2 panes of documents to look at while I do word processing on the leftmost pane.
Depends on what you want. If you just want the most screen real estate possible with no regard to space, just get three 16:9 screens.
Personally I own a really long desk, but I sort of use it as two, computer setup on one side and electronics/soldering station on the other, so I picked up two of the curved 21:9 screens and stacked them. Absolutely the best multi-monitor screen you can get for a small desk or something like my situation.

Got mine yesterday and so far it's pretty impressive I have to say. The curve is subtle but a pretty nice effect. The increased FOV in games I've played is pretty awesome. My previous 27" is stacked on top and it looks small by comparison. So far it feels very worth it.

Nice, I like that you use a side toolbar. With a 21:9 screen having at the bottom is just such a waste of space. I put mine on the left because I'm used to it with my Gnome 3 setup.

It's ok. You need the big picture mode to tap into the full remapping functions, but it's pretty powerful. I don't like the shoulder bumpers, but that's preference.

I bought the u3415w for productivity, and I use it on Linux with a tiling window manager and love it when programming or working in general. It's like having a dual monitor setup without a bezel. Using it with a normal floating window manager would be retarded as fuck though.
I game rarely (like once a month), but when I do I quite like how immersive it gets.
Got a 27" 1440p monitor in portrait next to it. The combination is quite good desu.
