What the fuck is this shit,is this only a problem with using Flash with Firefox?I don't want to use HTML 5 because it's laggy as shit when I try to set the resolution to 720p
>>
>firecux
lol
>>

>Firefox
Found your problem.
>>
>>51690521
>>51690533
than what browser do you recommend kucks, and don't even say pale moon
>>
>>51690561
if you're using windows then chrome or opera are your only options (opera is less botnetty)

if you're using linux just use chromium

firefox and all it's forks are either slow, shit, outdated or have no addons
>>
>>51690561
Just use chrome like a normal human bean.
>>
>>51690509
You must be on a fucking toaster.
I have a shitty dual core with integrated graphics and like 2 GB of RAM and it still runs fine for me with 1080p on Youtube.
>>
>>51690761
I can run it fine most videos allow for 720p,but the majority of the videos resolutions are grayed out and is stuck on 144p
>>

>>
>>51690561
whats wrong with palemoon?

>>51690665
shill!! SHILL
>>
>>51691152
Well my HP notebook 2000 can barely handle HTML 5 player especially in 60 fps thats why I'm using flash. Now the resolution options are blocked and I'm stuck with 144p
>>
>>51690509

Why not just use livestreamer to pipe the video to your own media player so you don't have to deal with their shitty players?
>>
>>51691087
doin it

I always like playing low res to keep cpu usage low

~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf

ytdl-format=18/best

Thats to much work just for some youtube videos, anyways I think it has something to do with my cpu i'm on a fucking toaster
>>
>>51691322
>AMD processor
you deserve this
Your bang for your buck is really starting to show now.
>>
>>51691322
The CPU usage of a media player shouldn't be more than the HTML player unless you're using some stupid scaling settings. Hell, flash should use the most CPU.
>>
>>51691346
Hey fuck you I'm on a budget All I want to do is watch some high quality videos with the flash player enabled my laptop can't handle HTML I didn't have this problem last week or yesterday, this shit starting happening to day.
>>
>>51691386
use a lightweight browser then
>>
Okay I'm not the only one having this problem this shit seems widespread and started to day could be a bug

Chrome > everything else. I thought this was common sense by now. Firefox is dead.
>>
God g/ is always so behind the times. Still recommending Chrome over firefox? What is this 2010? Unless you're on mobile the trend is reversed now. Everyone heads back to firefox after realizing getting chrome to do what you want is like boxing a brick wall.
>>
>>51692923
Both of them are shit options but firefox is too SJW so Chrome is literally the best we can do you mongrel.
>>
>>51692923
lol
at this point firefox is basically chrome but slow
>>
>>51690509
>I don't want to use HTML 5 because it's laggy as shit
Get a better computer you nigger.
>>
>>51691013
Your cpu cant even decode that smoothly enough, I know, ive tried, i7 4770k at 4.8ghz and my video stutters every few seconds. Task manager shows 99.9 cpu utilisation on chrome
>>
>>51690509
linux doesn't have this problem
>>
Clear your cache and cookies lmao
>>
>>51694011
It does, just had it on Arch + firefox today. Literally clear cache, cookies, restart browser and it's fine
>>
>>51694006
this
the only computer that I have that lags playing 720p youtube on html5 is my 2006 macbook pro
>>

4K and 60 FPS YouTube videos work fine in Firefox you fucking shill idiots.

It probably does that while "idle" with all the botnets and shit.
Enjoy being Google's bitch you fucking kekfag.

A nice, healthy serving of NOPE.
>>
>>51691196
It doesn't have Media Source Extensions and Youtube limits you to 720p without that.

I use mpv anyway, but there might be people who unironically want to watch videos with Youtube's own player.

Opera sends every site you visit to their servers to check for malware. There's no option to disable. It's even more of a botnet than Chrome.
>>
>>51690509

Are you a Windowsfag?

The best html5/flash playback in Windows is IE. Period. Second best: Palemoon.

Firefox is shit. Chrome is even shitier.

If you're a linuxfag try gnash.
>>
>>51691386
Time to rethink your priorities, faggot.
Maybe stop buying new iPhone every six months like a trueborn retard?
>>

enjoy being left behind in the stone ages caveman retard hahahaha
>>
>>51690509
I had this issue too with ancient amd hardware (amd mv40, radeon hd 3200). I installed Palemoon and now I can watch youtube html5 at 1080p with no lag. It's insane.
>>
>>51700061

exactly. still, using palemoon has made it faster but fuck html5
