Google has finally forced my hand, and now I must switch from Chrome. For many versions, you could disable the stupid menu with your name on it (on the top right of the browser, near the close buttons), by launching Chrome with --disable-new-avatar-menu
They removed the ability to do it with chrome://flags several versions ago, and only this command line switch worked. With version 47, they have removed even this command line flag.
This is not acceptable! From here on, I will be using Opera, until Google can do the needful and give us an option to remove this avatar menu. At least the button in the Opera tab bar does something useful.

For general browsing I use a profile that isn't logged in to any services because I don't want to be tracked by jewbook or google.
