A lot of people, including sites selling the stuff, state that it is 100% safe because it is just vapor but have not linked any research documentation that proves it is and using this as a way to "safely" stop smoking.
It may be much less cancerous than smoking, but it is also much less studied than smoking, much less controlled and much easier on the body.
When I was smoking I couldn't chain smoke, I know there are people who can but it dried out my throat way too much. Vaping is far gentler though, I could easily see NEETs vaping from morning to night, so being less dangerous than cigarettes gets somewhat nullified by doing it more.
