What is the most you have used in a month?
>>
I usually don't use much more then around 30gb. Most I've ever used is 54
>>
who offers true unlimited data plans?
>>

Traps are love
Traps are life
>>
I work as a photographer and my raw files back up to my phone and then to two separate places from the phone.

I use about 350gb/month
>>
if I use this much bandwidth from tethering on my unlimited T-Mobile plan, what happens if they catch me? They have a 7GB tethering limit

Any providers not have a tethering limit? Because my parents driveway is so long, this is like the only way I can get broadband when I am over there without using shitty dish internet.

T mobile and boost mobile. Boost is cheaper ($60) but you have to pay $10/2GB additionally for mobile hotspot though.
>>
>>51665488
no. They say "unlimited" but they throttle you over a certain data cap.
>>
>>51665072
most I've used is 2gb because my plan doesn't allow for more
>>
Wait, 3 UK unlimited was 15GB I thought? Do you know is Ireland is the same?
>>
>>51665510
but I just said that T-Mobile has a 7GB data cap on tethering/hotspots, and you just said boost charges you by the GB for it, so neither of those would work for me. I need something with no limit for tethering, as I want to basically use it as my main internet connection for everything
>>
>>51665548
I think iWireless (uses T-Mobile networks) has unlimited tethering for $75/mo
>>
>>51665548
Then burgerland doesn't offer that. Cumcast is paying mobile carriers to not offer unlimited mobile hotspot to customers so they can keep ripping off customers.
>>
2gb because my country is shit and I ain't got no damn money.

It's good enough for 4chan, the news and Waze though.

It's easy to bypass T-mo's 7GB tethering cap

Or at least it used to be
>>
I think that 10GB, can't get further because after 6GB I'm capped to 128k.
>>
>>51665652
but what happens if they catch you? Do you get banned as a customer?
>>
>>51665878
pretty much
>>
>>51665652
You better buy a boost mobile phone soon in case they ban you.
>>
>>51665878
>but what happens if they catch you?
Nothing. T-mo employees have commented on my usage before when I've gone in to have them fix/check something. They don't give a fuck.
>>
>>51665561
What is this? Anyone here used "iWireless" for unlimited tethering?
>>
>>51665917
Officially, they seem to be making a big deal about it:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/08/30/legere-says-t-mobile-is-now-going-after-thieves-who-bypass-tethering-limits/

Are you just talking to hourly techs at the T-Mobile store? I'd imagine they wouldn't give a shit
>>
>>51665971
>Officially, they seem to be making a big deal about it
Yeah, they are now. They've also changed the detection system for the tethering throttle and there's no longer any known bypass, so you can't really do it anymore.
>Are you just talking to hourly techs at the T-Mobile store?
No, I'm calling up John Legere and having him personally fix my phone.
>>
>>51665072
got a 10gb cap but hardly hit it.

>2 GB limit per month
>mom pays bill - I'd just not have a phone otherwise and she likes to be able to reach me

>today, pull phone out of pocket
>it's downloading a 400 MB update for itself that I never approved
>hope it doesn't count somehow or else I'll have to be careful this month - normal usage without paying much attention ~1.7 GB

EDIT: posting in this thread I looked and it looks like it somehow didn't count at all? Even my data usage shit measured locally doesn't seem to count it (official verizon widget won't update until 10 pm tonight)

Anyone know if this will ultimately probably count or not? Never had a phone that actually got updates before
>>
>>51665072
130 gb
>>
>>51666031
It looks like you're connected to wifi, and system updates by default will only download on a wifi connection.
>>
>>51666236
I am connected now, but I wasn't at the time. I was at work where there's no connection for me to connect to

Nah I'm curious why the datas didn't show in the screen I had pulled up.

but I have a friend who does the bypass thing

>They say "unlimited" but they throttle you over a certain data cap.
That's illegal in non-third world countries.
>>
>>51665479
>Tfw teliasonera finland
>Unlimited lte data
>No tethering limits
>>
>>51666615
And they still do it in the US, therefore US is a third world country
>>
>>51666615
no it isn't, it's called "the fine print"

Three UK
>>
Speeds never slow down for me on three UK on a £17 a month sim only plan
>>
>>51665072
i've never had a data plan before
>>
>>51665510
MetroPCS . "Unlimited" + 6GB Hotspot that don't counts towards your main usage, on the $60 Plan
>>
>>51665999
How the hell can you not be able to bypass it? Do they control the firmware on your phone or something?

12gbs for 4 people. Brother, mother, and father. My father only uses his iPhone 4 as a phone. We have Verizon
>>
Typically around 2gb but I've used up to 5gb once or twice. Only data heavy thing I do is steam music and podcasts. Videos and picture uploads can always wait until I get home.
