>>51650948
Go for the high score.
>>51650979

kek
my company (Rogers) is pretty based, they say they don't endorse the ISP, they don't give a shit what I do, but they say law requires them to send it
never asked for any money either
>>51650948
I haven't but my brother has.
I'm smart about my downloads.
>>51650948
Hey OP where from and what were you downloading?
>>51650948

I think it was because i downloaded Total War: Rome and two GTA 4 torrents (first didn't work)
>>51651078
yeah, GoT is really hot for copyright infringement notices, thats what i got my 3rd for
None but I've had my connection throttled to hell before.
>>51651078
good. too bad they don't follow through with infringments on GoT fags
>mfw i got a based ISP
>>51650948
None so far.
But thats probably because all i ever Torrent is anime and my ISP doesn't give a shit about me pirating weeb garbage.
>>51650948

Nice Boat.
>>51651033
>>51651126
Bell Aliant doesn't care either.
Zero, and I torrent a lot. How do you guys get them anyways? You use TPB a lot or something?
>>51650948
>ISP notice on copyright infringement
>land of the free
>>51651223
Thanks.
>>51651090
>I think it was because i downloaded Total War: Rome and two GTA 4 torrents (first didn't work)
Well okay, but was it a private tracker? Public one?
>>51650948
None. Bright House doesn't have bandwidth restrictions and doesn't send spooky letters, they're pretty based.
I also use peer block but not sure how much that helps.
>>51651105
Time Warner does that shit.
60 mb/s my fucking ass.
None.
kekcast doesnt care either, they send the notices but dont do shit, have like 73 of them in my inbox from music/tv
>>51651463
This
Bright house is fucking G.O.A.T
>>51651272
I've used TPB for going on 5+ years and have yet to get a notice.
Los Angeles here.
>>51651537
Getting 300 down 30 up... Paying for 50/5
>>51652046

My what on what? Well I live in germany so I can't torrent by default which explains it all
>>51652231
Damn, mine was due to google fiber being in the area
>have Comcast internet
>primarily use TPB
>don't use vpn or anything
>download music, new movies, HBO TV shows, etc.
Never gotten a single notice.
I torrent stuff every week and I've only gotten 1 notice from Time Warner. Although my modem is one of those hacked ones that doesn't require me to pay for service of anything just having cable going to my house and the hacked modem, they threatened to cut off my internet if I get more notices, I doubt they can cut it off or would even if they could. Pretty sure they don't care. Los Angeles, CA here.
>>51650948
Two. One for porn from a shark extortion team in Cali. Link in the attached email had the case number in the URL, so they'd know I received the email and clicked the link. Kinda clever. Whatever. They don't have jurisdiction where I live.
The second was for downloading John Oliver episodes. It wasn't a legal threat. More of a polite request from HBO that I stop. So I stopped sharing those.
>>51653842
Should be noted that my ISP is only obligated to pass the information along, and has won't give out my personal information without a court order, which in my country isn't actually worth the effort at this point.
>>51653147
Same thing here but I got a copyright notice from them a few years ago saying I violated some companies rules and would be fined $200,000. Not a word since then
>>51653842
People actually download John Oliver's videos in 2015? I MEAN COME ON
Also what porn did you download?
>>51653989
>People actually download John Oliver's videos in 2015? I MEAN COME ON
Last Week Tonight isn't terrible. Not great though.
>Also what porn did you download?
Saw a Miley Cyrus porn parody linked on /b/ and wanted to see if I could find it. Ended up with a different one. Still haven't found the one I was looking for.
>>51654062
BUT IT'S 2015, I MEAN COME ON, IT'S 2015 PEOPLE
Zero. UK, BT. I don't torrent much, maybe 20 albums per year and a similar number of movies. I suppose I torrent a few terrible US comedies for my gf though like Mindy Project, New Girl, Marry Me etc. I don't bother with a VPN, just have peerblock on using basic settings and don't seed.
>>51650948
I'm from the netherlands.
My boss uses pirated software for work.
I use pirated software for work.
i pirate games, movies and even entire OS's.
no vpn needed.
Zero bitching about copyright.
Only thing is that some copyright groups are planning to send fines, but only if the ISP's agree to disclose the home address of the downloaders (the copyright groups are third party so probably no).
i never have been fined by a third party that i did not chose to deal with and it's not going to happen.
>>51650948
ZERO
Los Angeles, California. Time Warner apparently doesn't give a fuck. I sometimes download hundreds of albums a month and at least one movie a week, never got a warning letter.
I have not gotten one since I was a freshman in college, and that was only once (UMass Amherst). It was an email directly from the college, not a specific ISP. Apparently a couple of guys I knew got a bunch of emails, and had to take a "class" about it.
Since that, I've never gotten one. Currently live in Boston and I use RCN. I live with 7 other people and we all torrent all the time, I guess RCN just doesn't give a fuck.
