Protip: If you aren't running greenify, leandroid and debloater (if unrooted)/SD maid (if rooted), your battery life is going to suck dick.

Also helps a lot to have OS Monitor installed to see what really needs to be greenified/debloated/frozen.

Bonus points if you are rooted, install System Tuner and neuter the shit out of Google Play Services (ads, analytics, stats, usage, backup).
>>
>>51638852
Install Trillian. It supports Facebook messenger. Or install Facebook Lite (Or even an older version of Facebook). It still has the messenger client built-in and as a bonus isn't a giant bloated pile of shit.

I really hate seeing people drain their batteries all the way down. Partial discharges will give you a much longer lasting battery than going down to 25% then back up to 100%. You'll end up losing half your capacity in a year. Maybe less.

It's not sony's fault in this one. Starting with lollipop the graph went full retard.

How would one go about disabling mpdecision?
>>
>>51645909
Still, some big companies had released a fix, I've got my "close all apps" button back but not the battery count one

Guys, do you even remove the gapps you don't use?

I noticed a huge increase in performance when I did that. My phone goes batshit when removing the other system apps, but it didn't flinch when removing google plus and the other useless google apps.

Greenify doesn't play good when I have Stamina mode enabled; the battery goes down quicker than before getting greenify.

No, I haven't disabled any system/google apps. I've disabled the Tunein app, the movies app, and two games.

>>51645863
Not the guy you asked, but that kinda looks like an OPO or one of the Note phones..

if you don't want to download any new apps do:
stop mpdecision
echo 1 | tee /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu{1,2,3}/online

and there you go, you have to disable it each boot though.
>>
>>51645929
use a file explorer to navigate to /system/bin/
delete mpdecision : this is the smart parking of cores script. I found what it really does is keep one core running at full speed practically for any wakup call at all : it decreases battery life and then you have to wait for the other cores to come online as needed. Its snappier and lasts longer without it.

only issue is that when an OTA update is pushed out, you no longer pass the integrity checks and it will FAIL and stick you in an update boot loop. You have to restore a stock rom, or push the file back to where it belongs to proceed.
