Unfortunately that means that I have to use Intel shit, but as no other modern component manufacturer so actively supports Free Software, it'll have to be that way.

I don't buy any graphic cards that run hot.
I bought a GTX 470 for ~$350 back in 2010 and it burned out in a little over a year. Running hot was a feature of the Fermi cards. Before that I had a computer with an ATI 5850 that went in a few days and I sent the computer back. I still think Nvidia drivers are superior, my experience with Catalyst AMD drivers was not good.

possible some extremely low end cards from the 600 series are rebranded fermi but yeah most are keplar.
700 and above hands down shouldn't be any rebranded fermi cards. they all should be a mix of maxwell 1 and keplar.

I leaned my lesson when my 980 FTW would constantly crash in games people telling it was mobo shortage or my PSU was bad and I swapped out the card for my older ati 6850 it worked fine so I when I reinstalled my 980 I just installed the disc drivers and nothing else (no precision x, geforce experience shit) and it's running smooth as silk
