BUT, I'm really happy with c#, WPF and powershell...
I cant see myself using java, gtk and python for everything...

I don't need monodevelop, I've been using kate+konsole+mcs, but every time I mention mono here, shitstorm ensues. Everybody uses javah.
For WPF I'd be hapy using Qt, but I'd need to switch to C++ (not a big problem).
Thing is, for scripting I wont use bash (like I dont use cmd bats) because its to "basic".
Python seems to be what everybody uses...

Use mono m8. Been developing C#on GNU+Linux for some time now and it is pretty great.(never used WPF though, but who needs that!) Did you know that c# runs faster on linux?
