LG's flicker safe sounds nice, but I'm much more concerned about the panel and backlight quality. Does one have better QA than the other?

I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST IT!!! I HAVE THIS MONITOR and it fades at the bottom SEVERELY. It's very washed out and a bright white.
The overall quality of the screen makes everything look like a dull image. It's absolutely shit.
I bought it from Amazon and didn't return it because I didn't feel like it.
This one is shit and I would pass it by.

Want a 23" or 24" with the ability to swivel into portrait for a side monitor. Since it'll be off to the side it needs good viewing angles.

Theres a reason why many multi monitor people have gone down to one.
One good screen is really all you need (if you're not a trader or something special), 1440 is a great res at 27" and gives tons of space for multi windows, I always have windows side by side and the only thing I full screen are movies and games.
And then 3440x1440 is even better, but pricey.
Was thinking of grabbing a couple of these. Thoughts?

This is mostly true.
I used to run multiple monitors. Then again, for years I did software development when a 1280x1024 LCD was hot new technology.
With my 2560x1440, I rarely want a second screen. The times I do it's for things like playing a TV show while I'm gaming. It's not like it's 1998 when you needed a second monitor to show your SoftICE debugger interface[1].
These days, dual monitors are just route to distraction and ergonomically unhealthy.
[1] or the REALLY olden days when you could have a Hercules-compatible graphics card for your full-screen debugger, since its screen buffer address didn't conflict with EGA or VGA.

Just get two of those, they're fine. You have to unscrew piece on the back to tilt them, but they're great overall
