If you're referring to using AMD's APU, you might have an advantage using crossfire with the two graphics cards, but if you're in the high end spectrum of things where games are more CPU bound, you're completely and utterly wrong. Intel CPU's are far better for pretty much any task than AMD, AMD is behind at the moment trying to play a game of catch up.

It did what it needed to do and allowed me to play all the games I wanted at an affordable price. I still remember it fondly.
But to answer your question, you shave off a few seconds after windows is up. Get a few more fps here and there, load games considerably faster (yet in every game worth a shit, you still have to wait for others to load) and things feel snappier.
Also looking back, I didn't own a single computer I hated, looking back, starting with my Cyrix 200. Well I haven't the fondest of memories about my 386SX, but I used that thing for way too long. You are an animal for hating your computer though.
It's Q4 2015 and I'm still using a Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition.

I'm still running my OC'd to 4.1ghz Phenom II 965BE with my crossfired HD6850's.
