Are there any cheap (including black friday/ cyber monday sales) over the ear, closed back headphones that sound decent?
I'm about to put in 6-8 hour study days, and since I do most of that in the library I want some headphones that'll close me off from my surroundings.
Being decently portable (folding up etc.) would be nice so I could use them on the train, but not really a requirement.
I currently use a pair of PortaPros which I love to death, but they don't isolate at all and they leak out all my weeb music.
Thanks
I'll bump with cool wallpapers then

Try /hpg/.

I did, but they have an autistic circlejerk going on there so they didn't offer much help.

That's what I'm using now, but they get irritating after a while, also I find over ears much more comfy.
Skull Candy Hesh 2.
It seems you don't wanna spend much and I used to have a pair of these and they isloated my sound pretty well.
Also I've never visited /hpg/ In my life

Those look pretty good actually. I'm a little worried that they won't fit all the way around my ears.
My budget is about 50$ by the way.

Don't listen to this fucker OP, they will break within weeks if you are lucky. Might as well tape a speaker to the inside of a plastic cup and celotape it to your head than use Skull Candy headphones.
I'd recommend ATH-M40X. I have the M30X myself, but that's because I'm a cheap bastard. If you want better quality for the money, get M40X over M30X, though both are grand.

what about the m50x's?
Ok so I've narrowed it down to

Are there any significant differences between the M20X and the M30X?

M40s are more balanced, M50s have more bass.

I had mine for 1 1/2 years than gave them to my friend.
