I know this isn't a tech support forum but I'm really lost right now:
>create a Windows 7 USB boot device
>pirated copy that has all the versions on it at 64 bit. I've used it on my pc many times
>plug it in my friends pc while it's off (he's running 32 bit Win 7 and wants a format/upgrade to 64 on a new SSD he bought)
>turn it on and the pc hard freezes before posting
>turn it off and take out the USB
>turn it on, loads up fine, put the USB back in and I'm able to browse it in explorer without any freezes
>restart pc without USB in since it will just freeze again, get into setup and change boot priority so it boots from the USB as you do when trying to install windows
>restart the pc with the USB in the port, it hard freezes again
What the fuck am I doing wrong? At this point I'm thinking it has something to do with the 64 bit interface being incompatible with my friends pc as when I try to run the setup.exe I get an error that I can't run a 64 bit program on a 32 machine. Should I just install windows on his new SSD in my machine, then swap it out into his once it's installed?
