Is paging file going to kill my SSD?
Images are sometimes not shown due to bandwidth/network limitations. Refreshing the page usually helps.

get more ram

it won't do anything unless you run it for years like that or the SSD is an old OCZ Vertex or something.
>>
>>51484895
It's going to be fine, for a year or two.
>>
>>51484895
It will explode.

I'm typing this with my stumps due to an SSD explosion, fuck you buddy
>>
I have 16gb of ram and only use about 50% of it ever, yet my page file is still like 8GB
/me shrugs

Have you tried turning off your page file? With 16gb of ram you should in theory be ok, unless you run 90 tabs in your browser or something of that nature.
>>
>>51484895
No.

Modern SSDs, like the one you posted, are able to handle in the range of 500-1500TB of writes. You won't ever get even remotely close to that even if you hammer your SSD.
>>
Anandtech did a write stress test on 2014 SSDs and found it would take over 20 years of constant 100% non-stop writing to kill them.

don't you have an old hdd you could throw in to use?
>>
No. It's like when you buy new tires for your car you then take the bus everywhere so you don't wear them out.
The last thing you want to do is wear out something you bought for its fast access times by using it for fast access times.

Excuse me for lurking but what is a paging file? From my basic understanding aren't all files on computer systems using paging technique?
>>
>>51484986
I have 32gb ram, 31.9gb usable, current ram usage is 6.4gb, 25.2gb cached and windows created a 68.9gb page file.
