So what are actually the differences between all these terminal emulators? I just use gnome-terminal because it came with Fedora and I can't think of any advantage another terminal would bring. Are there advantages? Convince me to switch, /g/.

What determines keyboard shortcuts and behaviours of input like ALT+Backspace?
On some machines I get deletion of a word until a dash or something. (as opposed to CTRL+W, which just deletes the whole word) and on others it prints a 'D'.

I used to use terminator when i didnt have a tiling wm, now that i have one its pretty pointless but i still use it out of habit. I'm also too lazy to do the whole .Xresources thing with urxvt
