>Netflix killed piracy worldwide
The problem with Netflix in Europe (and I assume in South/Central America) is that the selection is vastly inferior to what is offered in the USA.

People might pay for Netflix outside of the USA if the selection is decent. But the selection will never be equal to what is offered in the USA. And even is the selection was the same, Netflix doesn't have *every* show.

People are still going to download. And content providers have spent too much time carving up the planet into regions...they aren't going to throw that away anytime soon.
>>

Get off of /g/ you retarded motherfucker
>>
>>51464371
Piracy is going to happen, has Netflix and other streaming services put a dent in it? Yeah. Will it kill it? No.
Viruses, oh yeah cause a lot of people will seed bad files. Jail time? Not unless you are a major provider to other people pirating.

Netflix is shit, and it still isn't as good as piracy.

That being said, normies that can't set up a torrent client probably find netflix to be a better solution. If they are choosing netflix over piracy because of this, we were right all along, if there was an easier way to get quality content than netflix, people will pay.

>>
>>51465974
did you mean to reply to someone or are you just saying in genereal?

I know the american ones suck because the last 10 things Ive tried to watch were not on the american netflix (and some I know use to be)
BUT they were all on the foreign netflixes.
just a few examples right off the top of my head, all of the stargates, all of the pirates of the caribbean, better call saul, the dictator, 300, interstellar, enders game, and the new season of archer.
the american one doesnt have any of that shit, netflix wants to bitch about people pirating.. if they would stop only adding movies from ancient times and start adding new ones then people might be more inclined to use their services.

>netflix: an american company neglecting americans and favoriting foreigners..

This. Netflix just arrived in my country, I tried it in the first free month but in the end I decided not to use it and go back to... Well piracy. And sky. They do have a good number of contents, probably better than the counterpart but it's still not what it should be, I don't want to watch the few show you are proposing me, I want those shows I heard about or those i'm watching. Also, silverlight is terrible on Firefox and they decided not to give APIs so there aren't 3rd party apps and I can't see it on my kodi based mediacenters.
At this moment in Italy the best option if you are interested in TV series and movies is Sky and its integration with Sky ondemand. Let's see if Netflix will be better.

Because of content rights, which might be owned by another company in your territory. You're stealing from the local distributor of that content in their minds, because you'd be paying them instead of Netflix in the US to watch it.

Geoblocking is the reason why piracy will never die, so long may these fuckwads continue to think that way.

That's not really their fault. Sure they took ages to expand to Australia but the media here took it as a threat and jumped to grab streaming rights for their own shit service.

Some AAA Hollywood productions. Most of the movies are mediocre shit.

Netflix isn't even that good. The UI is fucking awful like it's a shit app layout and the player controls are nowhere near precise or useful. You can't even see the minutes you're on, only how much time is left. Free streaming sites have better controls.

Burgerclap here. US Netflix sucks. Aside from a few cornerstone movies that everyone has seen, it's TV series, or 1-2 star bombs that are laughable. I searched for sci-fi yesterday and gf and I could only agree on "Paycheck" starring Ben Affleck. You want to see one of the worst movies ever, see that one.

I spend 45 minutes browsing via the app, or using search websites such as instawatcher. Unless you want some subtitled foreign piece of shit, or an SJW indie, you're stuck with Taken part 9, return of the taken.
