I dropped and shattered my Z3C screen. Probably would just use it anyway except it disabled the digitizer so I can't.

Does anyone have any experience replacing the screens on this? I've fixed a lot of phones but this one looks like bitch because the front and back are just glued to the frame. What's the best angle of approach here? Would buying an LCD with frame be advantageous?

Take it to someone to fix it for you. Might be pricey but looks like that would be a pain in the ass to fix

Well I worked in repair for over a year so the person I would take it to to get it fixed is...myself.

Sorry to hear that bro.

Start with ifixit: https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Sony_Xperia_Z3_Compact

I've no experience repairing newer phones.

But thanks for reminding me to get a case for my Z3C I guess.

Aren't most phones like this?

At least the one's I've fixed are like that.

I'm not worried about taking it apart, I'm trying to figure out how good the new one is going to stick to the frame, and what the best adhesive for the job is.

>>51458872
Yeah I've looked at that, currently trying to figure out if I could possibly unhook the LCD cable and attach the new one without taking off the back plate just because the factory adhesive is always better than your own.
