You can honestly get away with it if you do not push the voltage past the already preset stock. This is assuming you don't mind the loud whining of a stock fan. Get at least a 12 in the future or something, though.

throwing a Noctua on it makes it more stable

when i had the stock fan on my i3-4170 which uses almost 40 less watts than the i5, any time under load it would spike up to the 60s

now its basically as cool as my SSD and under load it only goes up about 10C to 50C total

i have zero fans in my 200r and fully filtered

I've got a 212 in my system and a friend with a similar build has stock. His only reason for wanting to upgrade is noise so if it doesn't bother you it's not really worth it.
And if your cpu gets lava temps it's probably a good idea to upgrade
