That layout looks barely usable at best.

That's literally the most retarded thing I've seen. Do keyboard fetishes think less keys makes them more leet?

I'm all for 60%'s but beyond anything lower is just pure stupidity. It is no longer form over functionality, just pure autism.
>>
>>51413353
I don't understand the boner /g/ and /wg/ have for minimalism

it's the easy way of making things look nice
but in really, if it's so minimalist that it's either barely functional or inconvenient then you need to reconsider what you're doing
>>
>>51413057
If I were rich and willing to waste money on a barely functional keyboard such as this, I may use it in conjunction with a keyboard with all the proper functions. However, even if I were rich I'm not sure I would be willing to waste money like this.

I dig my KBP V60 Mini with Matias Quiet Click switches.

I also have an ABS M1 with Black Alps Fukka switches, and a Razer Deathstalker. I have a thing for chiclet keys, I can't help it.

I'm thinking about getting an Apple Magic Keyboard. I fucking love the way that thing looks, and it wouldn't take too much work to get it working well on PC.

inside the housing of the keyboard will be that beaglebone
the idea is that, when home, it's my desktop keyboard
plugged in, it charges
but leaving, I can take it with me, and it's a fully usable laptop thing

how about instead we work together and help each other
I still haven't figured out how exactly I want to do the battery and charging circuit

more importantly though, how to we make the the motorcycle helmet with built in headphones and a HUD or Oculus like VR display for it to plug into?
>>
>>51417254

If you check reddit, someone did something similar with a Pi.

Someone else made a keyboard with a hidden usb stick that only mounts with a secret key press.
>>
>>51417275
I will not be checking reddit.

>how about instead we work together and help each other

Because I don't have a BeagleBone, nor the money to buy one right now. I do have a Planck kit though, but never got the time to solder the thing.

No idea how to do the battery charging thing, but I'm sure you can buy those circuits pre-made.

The hardest part will probably be to automatically switch the USB connection to the BeagleBone when there is no PC connected, but here I'd choose the easiest solution: just get a very short cable and manually connect the BeagleBone to the keyboard. This also comes with the advantage that you can have it running while the keyboard serves as input to your main PC.

>>51417275
Got any links please? Can I find them under r/mkg/ or somewhere else?

I remember seeing someone integrate a USB hub in their Planck, that's something that BeagleBoardanon should consider too.

Is there a site where I can buy riced keyboards?

You should be able to get 122 key combos from a 7 keyed board. Somebody needs to fund this!

Vortex Pok3r

build quality is amazing! and the programmable function layers are really useful, but the keycaps aren't up to the rest of the board in terms of quality.

I'm rather inexperienced with keyboards, but there was someone toady in class with a white keyboard and those kind of keys, with every line of a different color. Are they expensive? Does it mean I have some keyboard fanatic in class? It was also missing keys like control alt win.
>>
>>51419819
tell me more about it, it just looks like some cheap generic mechanical keyboard that some asshole slapped a brand on the space bar

brown mx cheery. some german company I think.
overpriced 130€.

if they are real cherry switches you are fine, lately there's a lot of random gaming keyboards that are generics with shit switches and/or quality control.
