Do you use pushbullet?
What are some other good alternatives to tethering your devices or more specifically tethering your SMS messages from your phone to your computer?
Is it worth it privacy-wise?
Is there a more direct way?
I actually use it cause it's got Facebook messenger integration. My privacy was fucked before pushbullet came around.

Pushbullet is one of a kind software. There is no alternative.
If anyone on /g/ wants to make a libre version, be my guest. I'll make the logo.

How do you mean?

Pushbullet is essential. Especially since those fucking cunts at WhatApp/Facebook can't release a desktop client. I hate having to type on my phone.

I use pushover instead because I like its interface on android better. Also integrates with ZNC more nicely imo

it still goes through their servers and not everything is encrypted, images are sent in plain and get uploaded to the web instead of file transfer like it used to be
>>51306020
Yeah I use it. But just because I am tired of pickung up my phone everytime it makes a noise. Now I can directly see what's up and dismiss it. a
Is there a way for pushbullet to mark new SMS messages on the phone as being read once you have viewed them on the computer?
