i just installed xubuntu on my desktop and for soem reason the font rendering is fucked..
what's going on? it doesn't normally do this when i do a clean install
i just dont want to reinstall

I've seen problems with font rendering but this one is new, try selecting another graphics driver perhaps?

haven't restarted yet as i'm downloading an update
i've had it installed on here before with older versions of xubuntu just fine, even uefi (like now) and it was fine.
at first i thought it was uefi but i guess not.
Not even running Looix and I'm having this problem as well.
Youtube videos links seem to break the font.

they fuck up often because they're discontinued.
just changed my drivers and it's fixed now.

I've never bother dealing with fonts as it has never been an issue but I'm going to take a gander at that it might be my special snowflake browser that's using either one of those.

never install meme distros or offshoots of distros. Your only real choice is either Ubantu or Fedora, because they actually have support.

I fixed by removing some link from /etc/fonts/conf.d. I think it was lcdfilter.
