How on Earth can I make this shit render faster.
Professional GPU and CPU thread.

Here on /g, we are all about free software. Ignore my copy of Word.
Doesn't Blender have a grid like cluster solution for rendering? You might try adding a few more computers.
>>51287767
If you have extra computers you can set up a render farm, but I have 1 computer.

There you go.

>implying /g/ knows anything about using a computer professionally
I made a thread about the right setup for CAD, 10 replies. I make a thread about gaymen rig, 100 replies. Now I don't have a problem with this, it's the hypocrisy that gets me. /g/ should at least be honest that all they do with their hardware is play vidya.

holy shit
what's the catch?
Get a 5960X and 4 Titans. If you are a professional, sure your employer will buy them for you.
>>51288060
it has an icloud lock
>>51288055
Evidently this is the case. Thanks anyways.

They're were too power hungry to be economically competitive, which is why companies ditched them and you can pick them up for so cheap. You're looking at 300W+ idle power draw and over 500W load when you can get a new Xeon E3 1231 V3 that has more processing power (9600 passmark vs 7700) at 80W idle and maybe 220W load.
Also, loud.
I'd actually recommend an FX-8350 in a milk crate. It'd be a little more money upfront but more livable.
You haven't told us anything. What hardware are you rendering on?
>>51288316
I see.
Thanks

But i really am on a raspi though,
raspi 2 specifically, hence w10.

You'd laugh but plenty of companies use blender. Maya is thr industry standard but blender is a good starter program. Tbh I prefer 3ds Max but I've seen lots of good things from blender.
>>51288671
Yeah but this nigga is using blender on a raspberry pi
>>51288348
5670K and R9 390.
Get Cuda (Nvidia) GPU, use GPU to render, change light bounces from 8 (default) to 4.
