why you kek it's a laptop,
I could get a chinkpad as you all suggest but this has better specs all around.

>specs
I once bought a laptop based on the specz. Not going to fall for that one.

If you want specs get a desktop or an actual mobile workstation. Gaymen laptops overheat and break down way too early.

>ntel® CoreTM i7 4710HQ Processor - Intel® HM87 Express Chipset
>17.3" 16:9 FHD (1920x1080) Display - NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX860M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM Graphics
>12GB DDR3L SDRAM Memory - 750GB 5400/7200RPM 2.5" SATA HDD Storage

The 860M can't even play games at 1080P, the laptop is fucking 17" which is too big for most backpacks (speaking from experience) and it has a fucking HDD. A 'chinkpad' with a core 2 duo and an SSD would be faster at stuff like launching programs and booting up. This is just sad, I can't believe gaymur kids pay over $1.000 for this.

I have a newer one that's slightly stronger, it's ok. It boots up in 2.5 seconds and the most demanding game I play is like Dota or SFIV so it's fine. My favorite part of it is the screen though it's pretty nice

But then again I got it as a gift, I wouldn't drop my own money for one

It's a 960m, actually. It plays everything just fine, GTA V on ultra included.

why it's my main computer, I bring it to work everyday.

I was strictly traveling for a while 2 months back, couldn't have owned a desktop.

I'm asking as far as laptops go.

consider dell inspiron 7000 series instead. 4gb 960m, 6th gen i5, 74Whr battery, 5.6lbs for $800. that is as mobile as a MBP and outspecs it at half the cost, reviews coming in say build quality and thermals are fine. i'm about to buy this myself

The new acer predator G9s are imo the only 'gaming laptops' worth getting. They made the keyboard mimic mechanical kayboards. It also costs less for better specs than the asus fugs. And from stress tests it seems like the cooling is very efficient and the gpu reaches a temperature of 75 celsius at around 85%-90% in 1 hour. It also doesn't have fan holes that stick out 5cm at the back, like the asus fugs that have the 970m and 980m do. The €2299 model has a 980m 1tb 7200 hdd and 256gb ssd. You can also easily add a second m.2 ssd.
