have a strix r9 380 4gb, pretty decent for 230 usd
>>51275335
or just wait 2 weeks and get the 380x 4GB
msi GTX 960 4gb
i fell into the trap, bought an evga 970ssc. I get 100~fps in csgo on dust2. Looking up mid i get 80fps. fuck my life senpai.
>>51275574
sounds like a cpu problem.
<$300? b-stock 970 all the way
>>51275574
works on my machine, 240+ fps constant (i have a weak amd cpu)
>>51275111
290x
Can be overclocked to surpass a stock 980 easily.
>>51275169
Cannot run BF4 smoother than my GT 530
Also, 290X is best budget GPU. 980 Performance and cheap (But hard to get).
Notice, they sell the same GPU as 390X against the 980 for a similar price.
>Nvidia jew
Nvidia wants our mone, but at least they have Maxwell. AMD still uses shaders like Kepler had.
>>51276057
Shit, just checked, no longer available for $299.
Get a reference r9 290 for $199
>>51276074
GT 400-500 series were the housefire meme series, kek
>>51276088
>reference, $200
you will be deaf, burned and left with a dead card within weeks by buying an AMD card with a reference cooler
b-stock meme card overclocked is the best value in this price range hands down
>>51275178
what?
>>51275574
Which CPU u got? I have 280+ with my 960.
>>51276228
Fuck off with that bullshit. 290 reference is fine, 290x reference is the one that gets really hot.
970 is a gimped piece of shit.
It stutters without drivers blocking off 0.5gb vram, has less rops and smaller cache than advertised, no proper async support, gets beaten by the 390 in most games.
>>51276323
I don't have a problem with nvidia, I use a gtx 670 myself, buy a 960 or 980 ti or whatever, but stay the fuck away from the 970 for your own good.
The more vram a game demands, the higher it goes over 3.5gb, the more it will stutter. The 290 is just a much better buy at $199.
>>51276323
why are you so defensive, roy?
just remember that truth does not need defense, it's an objective fact that nvidia has the better product
>>51276404
>390 : 54.6 fps
>970 : 50.6 fps
So for $200 i can have a better performing card than the gtx 970?
Thanks anon, 390 outperforming the 970 is a trend that will never end no matter how old these GPUs get.
