I was doing my own thing on Rosetta Stone, when all of a sudden I got a message saying that I have used 100% or 300gb of my internet data, I have used xfinity internet for years, and it has always been unlimited, what is up with this?
I got the same popup on my xbox browser, not too long ago, but that time it said 99% used.
I'm already paying a lot for internet, what the fuck Comcast, they've always tried to cheat us out of money!

While it's a ton of data, Comcast makes the money on providing the bandwidth, the connection. Traffic if anything costs them pennies a month to provide.
However, if one's transfering 4TB, they're probably utilizing that connection for a good while, leaving the backend congested and the neighborhood slower on average if erryone is transfering data at that time.
Cell phone companies do the same thing for obvious reasons -- the data eventually ends up in a fiber connection, but that spectrum someone is using all the time by consuming 1-2TB of bandwidth severely eats into their margin. Even John "Legendary Mob Boss" Legere calls people who use more than 21GB "data thieves". Remember the good old days when unlimited didn't come with a finite number as a disclaimer?

While I agree 4TB is a lot, exceptions should be allowed, and minimum cap in 2015 should be at least 1TB.
Even if you backup to Backblaze for example, and you have to restore, that's 1TB or more. Just to get your data back.

If you reinstall and grab your games, let's just count AAA games, that's like 600-700GB of download. And you didn't do anything.
There is also Youtube 1080p60 now.
If you stream, or just use your upload (again, for Backblaze/Crashplan), that's bandwidth again.
