help me buy a laptop. I'm looking for a good 15,6 inch laptop. What laptop would you buy if you would spend 1500 or 2000 or 2500 dollars? The hp Omen? Msi gs60 Ghost? The asus G501? The aorus X5? The alienware 15? Another one? What SSD and screen would you want? 128gb, 256gb, 512gb? 2k, 3k, 4k? Would you want a glary screen? What videocard would you want? Etc Etc.

msi ghost is high performance in a small body
it's hard to push resolutions higher than 1080 on mobile GPUs, matte preferably for glare. 970/980m has much higher performance than 960, but much higher energy and money cost. 256gb ssd minimum. don't buy alienware

if you wanna save money i'm eyeing a dell inspiron 7000 series which is 960m 256gb ssd for $800
If you're willing to spend that much money, get a 15" rMBP and put Linux or Windows on it. OS X is honestly pretty terrible these days, but GNOME 3 and Windows 10 finally do hiDPI properly.

bang for buck you can build a better desktop and even get a 960m laptop for that money. but if you absolutely need one device for gaymen and can be plugged in literally always it's definitely gonna be fast
