Hi /g/,
I don't usually post on here and I know this sort of thread is probably posted all the time but I'd looking or some advice on upgrading my current build. Used for gaming and developing.
OS: Windows 7
CPU: AMD FX-4300 quad core 3.8GHz
RAM: 8GB on 2 x 4GB sticks
GPU: GTX 960
PSU: Corsair 550w
Medium size tower
2TB HDD
I also have some spare parts that I haven't put in yet:
1 AMD Bulldozer 8 core
1 GTX 660
4 4GB RAM sticks
1 Corsair 1000w
That cheap corsair liquid CPU cooler (can't remember the name)
Loads of fans and spare cables
I also have a spare motherboard but I don't know what it's called or what the one I have now is. I have a nice external sound card so I have more room on the motherboard.
I'm looking to spend about £700 ($1000). The benchmark I'm aiming for is running new-gen games (Just Cause 3, Fallout 4 etc) at a consistent 60 fps.
Thanks in advance, let me know if there's more information you need and how I would find it out.
Pic related, a case I'm considering getting for this rebuild.

why the fuck did you buy a 960 qq
sell the 960, sell the 660, sell the 8 gb ram, sell the 4300, sell the external sound card unless you're making music
you could get any gpu you wan't with that budget
Stop buying dumb shit.
>implying I bought it
Do you have any actual advice?

this.
What GPU specifically though? Do I need to worry about heat with something like a titan? I need information a little more specific

love the 450d, but it will look weird if you use any of the optical drives, which is a shame since the covers look so nice.
i have the 450 and i can't imagine needing the 750, really nice professional non-ricer computer case. would look just as in place in a nice office as a gaming battle-station.

>building a pc

a fool and his money...
i7 3770 $200 USD Used
Reuse that 1000w PSU
Reuse the Ram
Reuse medium size tower and 2TB HDD
Get a GTX 970 $290 USD; Forget about the 3.5GB meme shouldnt be an issue
Get a LGA 1155 motherboard; Any should be fine, just get a regular priced one.
My specs are
i5-3470
16GB Ram
500w PSU
Zotac GTX 970
I run every game on 1080p at the highest settings and I ALWAYS have 60+ fps
I havent found one game that could make it go lower than that, besides DayZ mod, which will run like crap even on a 980ti
You will have a VERY good PC, since third gen i7 and fourth gen i7 dont have much performance difference, well at least not enough to pay the extra $120 USD
What I plan to buy as the best deals come around towards Black Friday:
Case: Corsair 380T Mini-ITX Case
Mobo: MSI Z170I Gaming Pro Mini ITX Motherboard
GPU + GPU Liquid Cooling: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti SEA HAWK 6Gb
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700k Skylake
CPU Liquid Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H100i
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000
Front Fan: Cooler Master MegaFlow 200
Rear Fan (to replace SEA HAWK Fan): Corsair Air Series AF120 Performance Edition
Side Fans (to replace CPU Liquid Cooling default fans): Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition x2
PSU (cannibalized from previous build): Corsair 650w
Storage (cannibalized from previous build): Samsung 120gb SSD, 500gb HDD, 1tb HDD (too lazy to be specific)

Return that AMD trash and go 4690k. Also get your graphics card to at least a GTX 970

What does /g/ think of this build? I came to you guys for advice with my last one, and respect your advice.
I edit video for a living, and need something capable of playing games at the top tier for the next 5 years. It's a prebuilt, I don't have time to build this like my last PC

Have the 450 as well, 2 780's sli, and H100i radiator, 1000rm p/s, one ssd(fits on the side in its own bracket) and 2 HDs
Like a wind tunnel in there and so much space, 750 is ridiculously big
