Picture isn't accurate anymore. I've removed the top exhaust fan and replaced it with a nice magnetic 140mm filter so now it acts as a neutral vent.

On the way I've got a EVGA gtx 980ti and a soundblaster card.

What kind of performance improvements will I realistically see if I overclock this? Not really hurting for power, but it sounds like something fun to do.
>>
>>51242946
Man, I love clean right angles in custom loops. It makes it looks like there was thought and effort put into the build.

Does it make an impact on the flow rate though?
>>
>>51243003
Nah, the D5 pump can handle any normal build. I did put a ton of thought on how to make my runs, only 2 runs are not right angles in the build. Really thing I can do about them to be honest. I do have to go in and adjust some lengths to get my runs perfectly straight and I plan to turn the GPU to CPU angle into an inside 90. Just gotta stop being lazy and get to work

Thanks anon, means a lot. :3

Funny that, I had actually gotten fancy PCIE cables along with combs, but ended up using the ancient cables that I've had since my previous PSU.

I guess old preferences die hard, I really do enjoy the look of a bare minimal blacked out cable.

Just do black sleeved cables, maybe with one in the middle being yellow if you wanted to rice it up a little
>>

>>
>>51243657
I have the same case and I know you can do a much better job with cables. Fix your shit, no excuses.
>>
>>51244213
First loop? Do CPU only, use EK stuff, soft tubing is fine but expect to wanna change it to hard tubing at some point because it looks better.

I'd start with a 360 rad, D5 pump, EK CPU block and cheap soft tubing fittings. Try and use good static pressure fans, I use noise blocker PWM fans, run them all off my mobo header with the profile set to silent. Under normal gaming even in summer they dont spin up from the 700RPM idle. Loudest thing in my case is the WD blue hard drive I use for storage. My OS and Games are on SSDs.

Braided cables/extensions usually look nice. LED fans look out of place unless all of your fans are LED. (not really aesthetics related, but I'd flip the floor fan to intake, if it's filtered. It's probably not doing much as an exhaust. Probably the top fan too. But experiment with it and go with what gives you the best temps.)

Its mostly just little things. The colored gskill ram is kinda gimmicky, trying to hide the molex power connectors up in the top right corner. Stuff like that.

I'm just an anon on the Internet though, so don't take my opinions too seriously.

I don't see why your cpu cooler is rotated that way. The air moving from the front of the case to the back would flow through the fins if it were rotated 90 degrees. Hot air from the cpu is also being pushed onto the graphics card... That back fan might as well not be there with this setup. Ditch the top fan and rotate that cooler

tuck the power cables between the case and the PCI slot thumb screws so its at least not hanging there

Glad to see you found a heatsink that fit OP.

is there any reason not to get the biggest case you can afford (besides gay reasons like enjoying small cramped cases)?

large cases have less efficient airflow
>>
>>51255554
why do you want a big case

99% of people building pcs don't need much room. midtower is perfect for 99% of gaymen rigs. your not gonna see any magic benefit from having a big empty case. full tower cases are really large.

Not mine but I thought I would share it seeing as it looks so fucking sick, went out and bought a couple G4 powermacs the other day once I saw this, hopefully I'll have something cool to post in the future.

Thanks, honestly just couldn't be bothered with colour coordination.

well my graphics card barely fits in my current case, and the case is stuffed with cables

but the newer cases seem designed a lot better

is define r5 a good choice?

>all this water cooling memery

When did water cooling go from being a cooling option for people massively overclocking their cpus to a fashion competent used by stock cpu speeds because "it just looks so cool omg..."
>>
>>51255783
thank anon
>>
>>51255814
I don't want my GPUs to run at 90°C, I don't want them to sound like a hairdryer and I want to overclocked them. Who cares about the CPU, that's a block and 2 more fittings, the GPUs are way more important since they use way more energy.
>>
>>51255856
they were talking about memory not GPUs, having waterblocks on the GPU and CPU is a good idea but cooling memory is the dumbest shit ever
>>
>>51255884
Very few people actually cool RAM/chip set/mobo, most people stick with the CPU + GPU(s).
>>
>>51255910
Yeah, I know, but that isn't what they were attacking
>>

Just saying.
>>
>>51257608
Why not mount those SSDs somewhere else and remove the HDD cage.
>>
>>51257730

What is a good way to mount them in a case outside the bays? I've seen people zip tie them to things, but I have nothing like that in my case to do it.
>>
>>51257730
One isn't an ssd. However I did have my ssd behind the motherboard trey. But it's stressful taking out the entire mobo and radiator just to put it somewhere I don't see

Very nice. I just built with an ML08 as well, but I was dumb and didn't buy the model with the handle. I'm going to see if Silverstone will sell me the handle.

I have a 6600k, 8GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD and a EVGA 970 in it. Like it a lot. Really cool little case

Yeah they are, around 80 bucks on amazon. Theyre alright, they arent as uniform as I wanted them. They don't fit into those cable management holders to make them line up, so they are no wear as pretty as I want them to be.

Ok. I have to ask. What is the deal with the microphone. What do you use it for?

I like that acoustic stuff. I was thinking about placing it in a new office someday. How effective is it the way you have it in there, and how much does it cost?

>>51258220
I use it for twitch streaming and making youtube videos, which I haven't done in a long ass time since I have to work to buy this dumb shit. The panels are only to kinda dumb down the sound so that the people living above me can't hear it too loudly. Its like 20 pucks for 12 panels on amazon.
>>
>>51258268

How much was the microphone?
What was the most expensive thing you bought for this setup that you feel was worth the price?
>>
>>51258302
Microphone was $200, stand for it is $99.99, the pop filter was 10 bucks from china. The most expensive thing that to me is worth it is the middle monitor.

Acer XB270HU
1440p, 144hz refresh rate, 9ms responce time, IPS display, and it's got G-Sync.

>>51251954
>>51252037
This particular downdraft is designed to be in that orientation. It won't fit any other way, nor should it.

It's meant for the right to overhang the RAM, as is the left heatpipe bend meant to overhang the motherboard's VRM heatsink. Despite how it might look, air flow is not impeded.

Thanks for the concern though. :3
>>
>>51255017
Nice! Replace that white fan with a black one when you can, it looks out of place considering all of the color coordination effort.
