You don't even need it. My setup looks pretty much like that (except for anime stuff) and I'm running Ubuntu. It's really easy to just install openbox/i3/whatever, play around with the config and fall back to gnome/unity/mate if you fuck up badly.
I might go with debian/arch at some point but the Ubuntu packages don't bother me enough to spend time to reinstall and set everything up.
