Why does this exist
There was zero demand for it
And the few things it actually can do are done better by other applications
What was the reasoning behind installing this per default on Fedora
>>50839074
Its the best Virtiual Machine I've used.
I was happy to learn about it's existence but I am with you about being a default, even tho this is something I definetely want in my PC i can download it myself and shouldn't come pre-installed.
anyways you can try;
sudo dnf remove gnome-boxes
Isn't it just a frontend?
>>50839193
I'm not sure honestly, I open it sometimes to try unheard-of distros now and then.
How is this compared to Virtualbox?
>>50839239
This is the settings menu
>>50839256
what else do we need?
>>50839074
This doesn't even do full screen, does it?
>>50840674
Actually it does full screen.
>>50842118
Hmm.Thanks.
>>50840674
Every program does fullscreen anon, assuming you're not using the world's shittiest WM.
>>50842152
>the world's shittiest WM.
Compiz?
>>50842152
No, I meant the actual virtual machine doesn't expand to full screen. I was told it doesn't, but another anon says it does.
GNOME is such cancer

Boxes has been around for quite some time tbpf.
>graphical frontend for qemu so you don't have to fuck around making virtual machines if all you need is 3 of them
>just works
>ready presets for popular OSes
>gnome integration
>can acces both virtual machines on your system and remote machines

so it's like lvm manager, only gnomes' special NIH version?
I think it's okay. In my experience it runs like shit compared to vbox, but at least you don't have to dick around with dkms if they're not pre packaged for your kernel. Fuck even if it is half the time it doesn't work.
