It's a hassle to install as long as Slackware, Redhat or debian type distros.
Go through click a few options. Done and done. Not to mention you can compile a new optimized kernel afterwards.
I recommend installing the dependency using CheckInstall so that it gets managed by your package manager. Makes uninstalling later a breeze.
