Ok /g/ents, I need your help.
My phone literally got stolen last night and I don't know what to buy as a replacement.
I was using my friend's old HTC Desire HD and only really made use of the basic features so don't need anything special.
Will probably buy it outright because I can just get a replacement SIM sent out (mobile account is with my ISP). Also, I'm an ausfag, if that limits the pool of prospective phones etc.
I am sitting here totally overwhelmed because I haven't been keeping up with this shit and there are too many makes/models out there.
Also, fuck Apple.

If you want a smartphone, might as well go big or go home. Nexus 6p/5x, GS6, or HTC one m9+. Take your pick.

Get a last gen Nexus or the Note 4. Should be cheap enough to justify it by now and itll fit all your needs without going overboard.

Just checked it out. Looks pretty solid. It's only 80-90 bucks more expensive than the G3 and they both are very similar stats wise.
If anything I would probably go with the Nexus 5, because "muh stock android". Reviews for the G3 do complain about bloat/lag.

also check out the Moto X Play. Its battery is so fucking godlike, and you also get nearly pure Android (only one Moto app installed, and trust me, you want this installed) with fast updates. It's also much newer product than the Nexus 5, so you won't see it unsupported in 1-2 years.
