This shit crashed when trying to refresh the artist list. I have about 40000 songs and I don't think it can handle it at all. It takes forever to open and clicking on an artist opens some shit that mentions Pink Floyd for some reason. What an absolute piece of shit.

You can't search locally.
Online searches don't let you click on an artist or album.

This is made for the people who listen to music on Youtube.

You people who use Spotify or similar, how much mobile data do you usually use on it? I'm wondering if my small data cap(6gb shared) can handle music + 4chan.
>>
I made my own media streaming thing using Sinatra that reads from my hard drive with all of my music on it. It runs on my desktop at home. I can get to all of my music easily from anywhere. Programs like this Aurous don't really appeal to me.

Didn't properly complete the importing of music from my harddrive until I either searched for music on the discover tab or or fiddled around in my collection.

I tried importing my music from my harddrive and the program froze indefinitely. Probably couldn't handle the load.

Music found from discover was very unorganized but I guess it's hard to avoid that.

Just some stuff I hope they fix. Looks nice I guess.

I tried it and found the UI glitchy, the search simple and the info on songs to be incomplete.

It's a great first attempt and I'll happily reinstall later when they get their crap together.

In the mean time spotify web player with ublock origin is the same thing but way better.

I wouldn't want to do it in C tbh. I hate any kind of GUI development in C. I would happily do it in C++ with Qt or Cinder though. The hardest parts of media players, a good decoder, have been solved for a long time so it is really just UI, library management, etc. not exactly difficult.

However I already earn £120k as a C++ and C# dev in West London. thanks anyway.

I find this a bit hard to believe. Lets say there's a global milk company, and they sold milk in the US for 1 buck and milk in UK for 1 pound. This means that they're making more of a profit from the people in UK and it's unfair to the consumers over their.

Alright I'm done with the first version. It features fully working playlists, music (obviously) and custom settings.

Grab the executable here:
https://github.com/Guad/MusicTimeGUI/releases/download/0.1a/Music.Time.7z
Extract it to a folder and run MusictimeGUI.exe
If you don't like running executables from here you can compile it from source https://github.com/Guad/MusicTimeGUI

Windoze only for now, will make a proper thread tomorrow.
