>What is your least favorite distro?
Ubuntu, no real reason for me to use it over Debian. Just feels less power user oriented.
>What pissed you off the most about Linux?
Multihead stuff. Some advanced multihead setups are STILL painful to configure whereas it's a few clicks in windows.
>What was your biggest accomplishment?
Installing Gentoo

An hour, before I zeroed the drive to install a truly free OS.

Linux® From Scratch.
>What distros have you tried?
Just LFS.

Right now, I'm using the OS that I programmed from Machine Code.

None. Linux® is an unfree control device, made to stifle your basic human freedoms.

Linux® itself.

How restrictive it was.
>What was your biggest accomplishment?
Ditching Linux® and going back to my freedom OS.

I've experienced and used it since 2006 but been in it full-time since 2013.

>How long have you been using Linux?
I would estimate 10 years, off and on. I wouldn't say I've used it extensively in this time.
>What was your first distro?
Fedora
>What distros have you tried?
Fedora, SuSE, Ubuntu, SliTaz, Puppy, Debian, Arch, Crunchbang, Salix, Trisquel, Mint. Those are off the top of my head.
>What is your current distro?
ArchBang
>What is your favorite distro?
I haven't ever installed Slackware, but based what I know about its configuration, I'd say it or any of its derivatives would likely be my favorite in theory. I need to get around to trying it out for myself.
>What is your least favorite distro?
Ubuntu. It's like Linux bloatware.
>What pissed you off the most about Linux?
Lack of drivers.
>What was your biggest accomplishment?
Just getting a distro to boot at all, which is still a tedium most of the time.

>How long have you been using Linux?
Not for a long time, but I used to use it for a year or so when I was a kid.

>What was your first distro?
Fedora Core 3

>What distros have you tried?
Fedora, SuSe Linux, Mandriva, Mandrake, Slackware, ubuntu, Crunchbang (last two more recently, but gave up on them hours after finishing installation)

>What is your current distro?
None. I use OS X now, just for the hate

>What is your favorite distro?
I remember Fedora Core 4 to be really stable and compatible for the time. But I was like 14 back then.

>What is your least favorite distro?
I can't stand ubuntu. It's like Linux without the things that I liked about linux. And unity is ugly as hell and annoying to use. I think my parents still use it on their internet and chess computer.

>What pissed you off the most about Linux?
The community, probably. I never actually turned to them myself, but literally in every thread I looked for help on problems was some asshole with superiority complex posting condescending shit. It's pretty hard to get started precisely because of people like that who want to keep their secret club a little more exclusive.

>What was your biggest accomplishment?
Slackware was running, I remember I was pretty happy about that (although I forgot why that was so hard). And I got my TV card to run on FC3, which I simply didn't expect to happen. Always had problems with my network card and graphic card though.
>>
>How long have you been using Linux?
13+ years

>What was your first distro?
Slackware 8

>What distros have you tried?
used/installed and dropped
Red Hat (10+ years ago)
OpenSUSE (9-10 years ago)
Fedora Core (8 years ago)
Xandros (7 years ago)
Ubuntu (6-7 years ago)
Debian (6 years ago)
CentOS (3 years ago)

picked up and kept
Slax (started 12 years ago)
Arch (started 3 years ago)

Also I have set up and fix Mint for various relatives.

>What is your current distro?
Slackware-current on battle stations
Arch on netbook, pi, VPSs
Slax on emergency flash drive

>What is your favorite distro?
Slackware. There is no word to sum up how awesome it is.

>What is your least favorite distro?
Of the ones I've touched, late versions of Ubuntu. Were the most frustrating. That and Puppy Linux

>What pissed you off the most about Linux?
How much there was I didn't know.

>What was your biggest accomplishment?
Being able to coach a Slackware initiate through making a symlink to correct a missing library error that kept a newly-installed program from executing over the phone.
>>
>>47201174
Why is Slackware so awesome? Is one of the few distro families that I never tested.
