>Here’s how it works: for $20 a month you get all the basics (talk, text, Wi-Fi tethering, and international coverage in 120+ countries), and then it’s a flat $10 per GB for cellular data while in the U.S. and abroad. 1GB is $10/month, 2GB is $20/month, 3GB is $30/month, and so on. Since it’s hard to predict your data usage, you’ll get credit for the full value of your unused data. Let’s say you go with 3GB for $30 and only use 1.4GB one month. You’ll get $16 back, so you only pay for what you use.

>Never pay for unused data
It's hard to predict your data usage when it changes month to month. One month you're streaming live sports, the next you're mostly just checking email. At the end of each month, you’ll get your unused data credited in dollars and cents, so you only pay for what you use.

$10 a gig? What the fuck Google.

With T-mo I'm paying $30/mo for 5 gigs of 4G LTE and then unlimited slow as fuck if I use that up.

In addition, music streaming over Google Music, which accounts for like 80% of my data, does not count towards the total.

And even when I hit my 4G cap, which I rarely do, music still streams at full speed. So does 4chan for whatever reason. And my podcasts still download at full speed.

Google, what the fuck. We were expecting 99 cent gigabytes. What is this shit?

This is a joke. I pay $35/month for 2.5GB of 4G from Cricket, and all they do is throttle the speed after you go over. That's $35 TOTAL.

Not to mention all the panic attacks I'd have when phone interviews were a thing. It was truly awful. Cricket has better coverage, offers a flat rate, you don't have to deal with Tmobile service and best of all you have a wide range of phones to poach from since it's all AT&T hardware. Basically a dream for a thrifty data user who moves around more than a city.

I'm disappointed. I thought Google would appease us "data hogs."

I don't have wifi at my parents house and use up to 60GBs a month on ATT, and pay $16o a month for the privilege.

With this Google plan I'd be paying $600 a month plus $20.

Way to completely FAIL Google....
>>
I think there's a lot of people missing the point. If you want pure dollar pure GB value, then other MVNOs and prepaid plans are better. The advantage of Fi is better coverage by "seamlessly" switching between Sprint, T-Mobile, and Wi-Fi. That and free 3G international roaming, no tethering restrictions, claimed 24/7 phone support, and a plan that essentially charges you a cent for every megabyte. If you are okay with Sprint's coverage, stick to Republic or Freedompop or Ting or the other MVNOs. If you are okay with T-Mobile's coverage and 100 minutes/month on the primary phone number, plus some of the Uncarrier perks, then stick to the T-Mo Walmart plan. If you are okay with locked bootloaders, then stick with Verizon and AT&T. But if multiple networks or any of the other perks seem attractive, then try Fi.

>The advantage of Fi is better coverage by "seamlessly" switching between Sprint, T-Mobile, and Wi-Fi.

It's absolutely stupid. The coverage of Sprint and TMO together still don't equal half the coverage of ATT.

Being Google one would have thought that they can strong-arm ATT or Verizon to be a part of this, but nope. And why would ATT or Verizon given their duopoly already?

this needs to be spread to Canada, where the wireless rates are through the roof. I pay $40/mo for 500mb and that is one of the cheaper plans. If you want anything around 1GB-2GB its gonna cost you $80-90/mo not to even mention the cost of a new phone.

Don't listen to this dumb bigger op. You don't have to go to Walmart. Get a T-Mobile activation kit from best buy and youre all set.

>$10 for 1GB

Is this some sort of meme? Do Americans really pay $10 for a single gigabyte of data?

This is hilarious.

20GB on just the cellular network.
Another 15GB on WiFi

How is this a good deal again?
>>
>>47651317
What the actual fuck, how is that even possible?
>>
>>47643850
But I can get Unlimited 4G LTE speeds on T-Mobile with my Unlimited talk and text for $80/mo.

Maybe its only worth it for international calling.

Why bother paying more?

I pay $50 CAD for unlimited talk/text and 5gb data. The plan is $20 plus the $30 data addon.

Which the current exchange rate that's roughly $41 USD.

It's a corporate plan though so I had to call in and pretend I worked for the government.

Data is way too expensive in that shit
I pay 28$ for unlimited talk, sms, and 7GB lte 150mbps data.
I only use 5-6gb a month though, but still 28$ < 70$

I have a special plan though
