As far as my desk goes, I'm having my dad see if he can find some nice oak pieces for the purpose.
One piece of 200x90cm and one of 200x30cm (for the monitor shelf). Both 27mm thick.
It's not as expensive as I'd originally planned, but that's because I'm not going with the huge 240x100cm piece and a 240x30cm shelf. Still 27mm thick.
I'll have to save that "huge desk project" for next time I move, I guess.
Unless my dad can't find some nice pieces, I'll just order the huge ones online. Fuck it.
At any rate, the wood will have to stop by my parents' place before I get it - they have a garage where I can apply some oil without worrying too much about a little spilling.
