well.
waiting for my partner to get back from a business trip to get back to it.

Gotha love the 'kid prodigies' who wind up being nothings as soon as their childhood is over.

slow actually, we are getting some cash, but no where near so much that we can quit our jobs for it

I see this video everywhere. Anyone know where that kid is now?

Do you dream in code, /g/?
>>

only when i program really late into the night and only hit the sack when i literally can't write a for loop anymore then i'll probably dream in code

usually javascript and it's a nightmare

I guess a Minecraft server counts too?
I managed to make a constant 30 player online server and I am raking in "donations" more than I need to pay for the server host.
So far so good I guess, only been 3 months.
Not enough to live by but a fun hobby.

What's so special about dreaming code? That happens to me any time I'm really focused on a project. Many times I have woke up with a solution.
>>
>>46894771
It won't.

Unless, you're in a video about being a "young prodigy" because you Googled how to make really basic apps.

Seriously, have you seen his apps. This isn't good work. I swear I can do this on a weekend with a few YouTube tutorials and a bit of patience in GIMP.

Nothing, it's something normal when you're really into something, whatever it's code, reading, or tetris. It even has a medical term that I can't remember. But buttmad NEETs are mad because of their insecurities and own failures.

talking about dank memes
does anybody here have that image about cyborg industries and some compression thing posted on reddit?
>>
>>46896061
I would love to read more about his compression thing. it's the only one of his technologies that I haven't been able to figure out.

His "SpectroCable" must utilize over 16.7 million fibre optic strands in each cable in order to work and an enormous lookup table that must be terabytes in size.

"Stealth Wireless" is exactly the same, but requires 16.7 million antennas on each end of the connection to work

Shadow is probably just an infinitely large lookup table of every possible data sequence mapped to a number.

but Spectre Vault, i can't figure out what retard idea he came up with for that. He mentions "Physical Identifiers" but clearly he doesnt know enough about human biology to actually create anything meaningful

>>
Ugh, I don't think I could ever program in objective-c. It just looks so alien to me.
>>
>>46898328
i've actually looked over this patent.
What he's essentially doing is taking a large amount of data, and splitting it up into chunks based on a large table consisting of 16.777 million entries (arbitrarily chosen because thats the amount of colors in the 24bit color spectrum)
What he's suggesting is that for each chunk of data, you send a pulse on an antenna on an antenna on one of the 16.777m frequencies (yes, you need to use nearly 17m frequencies (he suggests starting at the bottom of the 802.11 range and increasing at 5hz intervals lol))

so say you wanted to transfer a movie.
Every 2mb of the movie could be represented as a single pulse over his system. It'd be incredibly fucking quick to move data like this IN THEORY.
The problem is, the mapping time would be incredibly slow, and the lookup table would be somewhere in the terabytes.

He's designed one part of a system, totally ignoring all the other physical bottlenecks that it must rely on.

he wants to generate every single possible type of data, map each one to a number, and just transfer the numbers as pulses on different frequencies.

At least, thats what I think he's talking about. The patent is absolutely fucking nutso.

in addition, he doesn't seem to understand that there is a difference between lossy use-specific compression (such as jpeg, or mpeg4) and archival lossless compression such as a zip or rar.
