I used his rips for the first season and bought the BDs for the rest, but the BDs have some ugly banding, and of course, PGS subtitles are ugly as hell. I wish he did the rest too.

You don't need an i7 to decode 10-bit H.264. A Core 2 Duo is enough. Anyone with an old laptop has a decent HTPC, and it's a much smarter decision to use it than to waste money on a smart TV.
