literally perfect
In terms of design? I actually agree. Some Windows ultrabooks come close, though.

Yosemite a shit, and it will get hot, really hot. Also the trackpad will die on contact with any water at all.

Maybe if you pour an entire glass of water on it

Go to bed grandpa
From a design stand point, it's fine.
Personally, I think that
>the glowing logo is kinda gotty
>something like black or "space gray" would be a bit more appealing
>more durable touchpad
>a touchscreen would be welcomed at its price point
>non-locked-down hardware would be nice too.

As an owner, no. You're fucking delusional if you honestly think it's perfect. It has it's flaws, it has tones of them, but in some cases the pro's outweigh the cons. It's not perfect, it's just the least worst.
But it is pretty fucking good. It's something to aspire to, but not only that, to beat. To improve upon. Sadly fuck all manufacturers do this.

In this wonderful world of BGA we live in I've almost given up hope.
I'm getting into hardware design, I hope that some day we'll get back to the 70's/80's era where the most powerful hardware came from enthusiasts and was assembled by hand.

agree. this is the comfiestest notebook i've ever owned. i bought a 2011 and then upgraded when the battery sipping haswells came out in 2013. if apple changes the design to rumoured ultra thin 12" form factor, then i sincerely hope future retina MacBooks take up the current macbook air form factor in it's stead
