>OSX has no viruses

Meanwhile in reality... Pic related is an overview of last year's data.

Reality hurts, doesn't it?

B-But it's because Wangblows is proprietary!

We always new that windows was master race. Look at all the servers that being hacked by Lizard squad. They are all running some Linux distro. Meanwhile Windows based servers are going strong.

Source?

Keep crying commie freetard. I'm no shill. No one at Cupertino pays me to post in these threads

Only freetards want the source. The final data is all that counts.

True. Though I haven't gotten a virus, trojan, ect in over 3 years of switching to win7 from fedora. Avast and kapersky. +muh gaming and VMware for Leenux programming

Where is "number of things in the wild actually infecting desktop systems"?

Take something like the infamous Heartbleed bug. Yes it was a big deal, but as a desktop Linux user it wouldn't really affect me. I'm not running a server exposed to the public so a vulnerable OpenSSL on my system can't be exploited. Similarly I don't care so much about, say, bugs affecting user disk space quotas.

Also note that the "Linux kernel" includes a fuckton of device drivers and the numbers for Windows probably include some stuff outside the kernel. A more fair comparison would have to include all software running on a sampling of basic systems, including userspace stuff and 3rd party device drivers. After all, a perfectly secure kernel would be worthless if you have to load a buggy ass driver into it to use it on a computer, or run vulnerable software on it.

this thread again

now only thing missing is the "we search for vulnerabilities on bunari is easier!"
>>
>>46703354
Linux kernel basically refers to android cause of the huge marketshare, check your shit first faggots.
>>
>>46703354
Got a source for that? Anyone can make such a graphic.
>>
>>46703354
nice bait op.
can you state for example what the 147 vulnerabilities are forMac OSX?
>>
How is this possible if every month AT LEAST 7 security updates get rolled out to patch shit. Multiply 12 by 7 and you're still well under what the real number of vulnerability fixes is.
>>
>>46704250
The data is from NISTs database, and yes OS X is a piece of shit security wise. It's been known for ages but thanks to Apple's brilliant marketing most people don't believe it.
>>
>>46704273
I'm on Windows 7 BTW.

Discovery of new vulnerabilities or updates that create new ones. By creating new vulnerabilities, they're actually encouraging Windows to be more secure.

Yeah, that the general public of tech literate pentester can use to breach your Bistro.

Nice mental gymnastics, retard, but you can't sum them like that:
1. That's not how it works
2. They're probably the same across all platforms
3. By that logic, GNU/Linux has that number times the number of bistros

>>46704144
Windows requires digitally signed drivers, so it's not an issue.

>>46704185
[citation needed]

>>46704273
Yeah, updates to patch Microsoft programmes like Office, or to update bitdefender, and so on.
>>
According to my chart it goes as follows.

Windows vulnerability 900+
Osx vulnerability 900+
Linux vulnerability 0

I read that on a very trustable website probably the same one op got his data from.

>>46704402
>Presents "facts"

>>46704413

My OS only has 36 vulnerabilities and yours has at least 119.

Can you refute them, or are you just going to keep waffling on?

>windows server ....

what is a windows server ? it's not my fault if the server admin does not upgrade the wordpress site .... this is not the fault of the os;)
>>
>>46703354
Old news OP everyone knows Apple is 10 years behind Microsoft in case of security. The Apple shills just won't believe it.
>>
>>46703354
thats way more for windows than for linux and osx combined.

>>46704408
>3. By that logic, GNU/Linux has that number times the number of bistros
it said kernel, not gnu/linux distro
>>
>>46704535
Listen up, retard. What I'm trying to say is that the Windows vulnerabilities are mostly the same for all Windows operating systems, so you can't sum them, because there are duplicates.

>it said kernel, not gnu/linux distro
The kernel is used by all of them :^]
>>
>>46704465
OP's assertion hasn't been proven as fact.
>>
>>46704602

Prove windows has an nsa backdoor or a botnet. You linux nerds also make assertions with no evidence.
