Hello /g/, I've never been here before and I'm sorry if this post is considered asking you guys to be my personal tech support team (pls no b&), but:

Is it possible to access a laptop hard drive from my desktop? If that's not possible, is it possible to do it directly (remove the laptops HDD and plug it into my mobo via SATA, if laptops even have that [???])
>>
ssh or vnc, upload files you need to a site like mega/zippy/pomf

Ignore this post. The guy here misread your question.

>remove the laptops HDD and plug it into my mobo via SATA
this is possible, i use an old external HDD on my PC, pretty much the same thing (external hdds are 5400rpm hdds usually used on notebooks), they're not 3.5" tho.
>Is it possible to access a laptop hard drive from my desktop?
like with a cable?
dunno, don't think so, but who knows
>>
Well the reason I want to do this is so that I can scan the laptops entire hard drive with an antivirus software I have on my desktop (it's a friends laptop which has viruses stuffed up its ass)
>>
If I do remove the HDD and plug it in via SATA, I just boot normally and it will show up as a data drive, correct?
>>

install an antivirus on the laptop through a USB flash drive
>>
>>46054384
(Obviously with my main drive still plugged in and as the primary boot drive.)

Well free antivirus programs tend to not work well for me, I have kaspersky pro on my computer but it's bound to my motherboard (got it free included with my ROG mobo) and that's been able to sniff out every virus I've thrown at it.
